En “La obra poética de un jesuita novohispano: Juan de Cigorondo” se propone un acercamiento a uno de esos autores cuya obra ha permanecido olvidada incluso para los especialistas y que se hace necesario editar y estudiar como medio fundamental para poder tener una visión cabal de lo que fue ya en su momento una rica tradición poética. Otro es el caso de “La Amarilis indiana y su epístola a Lope de Vega”, ejemplo precoz de una rica tradición literaria escrita por mujeres en el Nuevo mundo y que, en esta ocasión, se estudia en relación con sus modelos literarios y genéricos. Ma il destino ha deciso altrimenti. Un giorno bussa alla sua porta Valéry Specht, controverso e ricchissimo erede di un'impresa di dragaggio, notorio frequentatore di uomini. Sa che Felix dipinge solo dal vivo, ma è venuto a supplicarlo di ritrarre suo figlio Singer, che è morto. Ha con sé foto e un video del ragazzo: se Felix accetterà di ricrearlo sulla tela, dice sibillino, \"salverà una vita\". Specht, padre? E com'è morto Singer? Domande a cui però Felix non cerca una risposta, e non solo per il lauto compenso che Specht gli ha promesso.
